Sunday Breakfast @Paparich

For last sunday breakfast we decided to have it at Paparich. Just for a change as we usually have it at our local favourite food stall, today its time to head out to have some "kopitiam" breakfast. Images below at courtesy of other bloggers, credit goes for them, im just sharing the taste part.

I would personally say that Paparich stands out to be better than other kopitiam like (1 station & Old town). Its the environment & the taste. Below is our breakfast menu:

The toasted bread was above my expectations! it was huge thick crunchy bread! The toast was just right! accompanied by a slice of butter & some home made kaya. RM3.80//set

Adapted from mylovelifepuisan.blogspot.com // thank you!
Next is the typical Malaysian breakfast-must-have! Eggs ! of course. In paparich they only serve "kampung" chicken eggs, not the farmed chicken. Obviously it is better in taste & nutrition value. Price: RM2.80//set

We also had white coffee //RM3.50. and Hot tea //RM2.80 . Both was totally awesome, the tea has a very different taste from what we used to drink @the mamaks.

Restaurant: Paparich, Prima batu caves
Venue: Batu Caves, Sri gombak
Service: Good
Taste: Awesomely good.
Total Damage: RM15//2 person
Pricing: above average(Premium 40-60% more)
Recommend: Yes! (For breakfast)

Pulau Ketam Day Trip Pt 2

As you have seen the eating part in pulau ketam, now its time for the activity at this island! Well, many might be thinking how would life in fishing village would be, let me tell you something interesting! They is no car / motorbikes in the entire of the island. Only way of transportation are bicycles. Apparently, we didnt miss the chance to ride on a lousy bicycle across the scary narrow pathways!

Our speed boat RM7/each way

Fire department with no Fire engines.lol.

Market town, the only rows of shops around

This is how you transport your kids! No need taxi, car, bus or motorbikes !! haha

Temple place @roundabout

Boat making factory

This is how you carry your supplies, very difficult actually.

And we're now boarding the speed boat...goin back home

Our 2nd trip makan to P.Ketam w. (Ji Club)

Our arrival at Pulau Ketam Jetty...it was about 3.30pm. We embark on the trip a little late as one of us worked half-day.

Since cycling is the only transportation method, we decided to hop on and cycle through out the island! so cheap RM5/day rental!!

We also bought some beers, chill beer in a hot day was awesome!
We went to "kuai lok hian" and we couldnt get a table, apparently they were having a special dinner for some birthday parties. Then we went to another restaurant inside. Called: Restaurant Kia Hong Haun
This butter prawn si RM30// and its only so little! 2 large prawn other all small, its greasy & dont form well.
ShaoXing Lala Clams, this wasnt bad again small portion made us feel bad about ordering it!\

Deep Fried Calamari , it was GOOD. The only best dish! Very crunchy, not overcooked & Fresh

Oiled Vegetable, nothing great very ordinary // Overcooked perhaps
Bamboo Clams // very very small portion. Kam heong style, i guess its too dry.

This is the place, Service was poor! The waitress there (an indon lady) didnt know even how to smile! If you ever go to P.Ketam, never think of eating here! As far as i know "Rest Kuai Lok Hian " is better! *Check out my previous blog post!

My team members (Ji Club) in photography session!
Overall our Ji Club day trip was awesome! Had awesome time roaming around in bicycles!

Tips: If you are into having a fest of seafood in P.Ketam, do go in group of 10 or more people. For their set meal consist of 7 different dishes is only RM150. A good deal i guess! At this rest 4 people ate for RM130, made me think we should have opt for 10ppl meal. Hahaha (I would recommend "Kuai Lok Hian")

Restaurant: Kia Hong Haun
Venue: Opposite B.Polis ,Pulau Ketam
Service: Bad // Service not pleasing
Taste: Boleh tahan laa
Total Damage: RM128.80 //Very Expensive for 4Person
Recommend: Not at all!
